THE WINTER GROWERS PODCAST is a podcast created specifically for growers and farmers looking to expand into year-round four season farming.

In the Fall of 2020, Clara teamed up with the crew behind No-Till Growers to launch a new podcast series focused on farming practices specific to year-round growing. The Winter Growers Podcast is packed full of valuable conversations with winter growers from across the United States and Europe. The overarching theme of this podcast is how farmers have adapted winter growing techniques to their farms to expand their production and sales in northern, temperate and even southern climates. Topics range from choosing winter crops, high tunnel production methods, fertility, irrigation, pest, and weed management, sales outlets, pandemic pivots, employee management, work/life balance and self-care, incorporating winter growing into your current farming practice, the business side of farming year-round, advantages and challenges of winter growing, and much, much more. Farmer Clara Coleman talks with a diverse range of growers, not only about how to farm all four seasons, but how to do so and still take care of yourself and the people you love. And like everything she does, these conversations are informed by Clara’s commitment to racial and social justice, as well as farmer wellbeing and self-care.
