Farm small farm smart
Diego Footer, D-I-E-G-O, not only co-operates paperpot.co, but also produces several podcasts running the gamut from small-scale vegetable production to large-scale farms and ranches. One in particular is easily on our top three farm podcasts, Farm Small Farm Smart, and he’s recently put out two episodes worth sharing here. Note: we could share most all of them here, they’re all worth listening to, and his conversations with Javen are some of my personal favorite hours in podcast history.
The first is a BEST OF episode he released two years ago of 5 Acre Farms, a no-till market garden in rural Arkansas, about transitioning to no-till in order to spend more time with family.
The second, we’d be remiss if we didn’t share his recent episode with our man Josh Sattin about online presence, suburban no-till, and bringing other note-worthy farms to the world via YouTube.
All of that to… hear, subscribe to FSFS if you don’t already. Diego, D-I-E-G-O, covers a wide range of aspects effecting small-scale farmers—from growing methods to business practices to work-life balance—and is an insightful interviewer
GROWERS LIVE
In case you missed it, our first live Q&A show—GROWERS Live—happened last Tuesday with Levity Farms.
If you want to submit questions for the show and haven’t already, sign-up to become a patreon supporter below. You don’t even have to be present (like us folks who are actually still in mid-week market mode… ahem) to have your question asked or watch, because it will live in perpetuity on the ol’ YouTube, so you can go back and watch it later. We’ve also had Q&As with Farmer Jesse, Vera/Gordon/Luke of Ten Mothers, and Charles Dowding you can go back and reference. Tune in Tuesdays at 8PM EST on the No-Till Growers YouTube fore new episodes.
Coming up next on GROWERS Live:

December 3rd — Daniel Mays of Frith Farm
December 10th - Shawn Jadrnicek of Wild Hope Farm

Do your research on Jared before the next Q&A and re-listen to his episode on the podcast.
If you want to submit questions for guests, get members only “behind the scenes” videos of farms/events, and just see us do more cool s!@# like these Q&As (or send our video-guy Josh on farm tours across the counrty), become a supporter of our work.
