Get CCOF certified organic vegetable and flower transplants delivered straight to your farm. It’s as simple as creating an account, choosing a crop and desired plug size, then designating what week you want them to arrive. Whether you want to simplify your transplant production, or don’t yet have a prop house, get a better start with Banner.
Neversink is said to be a “weed free farm” for two very good reasons, not one of which being weeds simply don’t exist on his farm. First, and foremost, they have standardized and systematized cultivation. Second, and what makes the first possible, is they have created high-quality tools that not only make cultivation more efficient, but also easier on the body, meaning you’ll not make so many excuses to not do it! Conor Crickmore and Neversink Farm have been avid supporters of the show since the beginning and now he’s extending his support by offering a 10% discount on the Neversink Flame and Mutineer (hoe & hoe accessories). Now, onto the show…
Excited to be joined today by Kyle Platt of Bois D’Arc Farm in Alabama. Bois d’Arc Farm (pronounced “bodock”), also BDA Farm, is located in Alabama’s Black Belt, named for its rich, dark soils. The farm, comprised of about 6,000 acres, was founded in 2011 as a certified organic farming operation (certified by CCOF). It has since been involved in row crop production, specialty and heritage grains, grass-fed beef, heritage beef, organic Jersey cattle, and vegetable/herb production, as well as research to develop more sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices in the southeast and nationally. They have recently added a 5-acre diverse vegetable and herb market garden style farm.
