A "Best of" Jean-Martin Fortier
In celebration of our lively chat with JM, we thought we’d post a solid collection of our favorite JM talks, videos, etc. If you’re in the mood, it’s binge-worthy. We would, but it’s Spring planting season here, so yeah (as soon as this is posted we’ll be back in the field). He’s been at if for quite a while, it’s easy to forget how critical he and Maude-Helen have been in reimagining and popularizing some of the foundational concepts most small-scale “living soils” growers use today, especially throughout North America. If you haven’t had an opportunity to go over his contribution to the small-farm movement, check it out.
We’ll be doing a full review of JM’s Masterclass next week, so be on the lookout. I really loved this beet video. It is exactly as it appears in the course. He breaks down all the veg FQT grows, too.
He did two great interviews with Chris Blanchard on Farmer to Farmer
… about his book and first farm
… about his new farm project La Ferme Des Quatre Temps
There have been many great interviews with Diego Footer
And I love this older Ruminant podcast right after his book was translated to English
